Made by hand
From a blank face to a soul of her own
In her studio in Slovakia, Magdaléna creates dolls that are closer to sculpture than to toys. Each piece begins as an idea and ends hundreds of careful hours later as a one-of-a-kind character with her own expression, clothes and story.
Faces are prepared and painted by hand. Every detail is considered slowly — from the gaze and hair to the final stitch of a tiny garment. Nothing is mass produced, and nothing is repeated.
